Silver Grove was a sugar estate in 1804 and had a cattle mill.
By 1828 when the survey below was carried out, it had been
converted to cattle and was known as Silver Grove Pen. It was owned
by John Jarrett who also owned the neighbouring Golden Grove Estate.
The estate consisted of 665 acres at that time, though The Jamaica
Almanac of 1840 lists the acreage as 1350.
