Orange Valley (2338 acre) was originally owned by Herbert Newton Jarrett, who also owned Hacton.
One of the deeds in the Tharp Papers) dated 5 Aug. 1790, notes the Assignment by "John Jarrett formerly of Trelawney and now of Great Britain to Hon. John Tharp of Trelawney of annuity of £1575 chargeable on Orange Hill Penn of 400 acs. with messuage and slaves, in trust to apply surplus of annuity to uses stated". I am not sure if this Orange Hill Penn is the same place as Orange Valley...to be investigated! Orange Valley is presently owned by Mr Alec Henderson.
