Hopewell in Trelawny, Jamaica was originally owned by Hugh Barnett who also owned Biddiford and Sportsman's Hall. In 1840 the Jamaica Almanac reports that it consisted of 912 acres and belonged to the James Cunningham who also owned Biddiford.
